Located in the northernmost part of Kananaskis Country between Banff and Calgary, the Bow Corridor is a gateway to the Canadian Rockies and has been used as a travel route for over 10,000 years.
Towering peaks surround the valley. Retreating glaciers have left a landscape carpeted by a mosaic of meadows, aspens, and evergreens. Rare and unusual flowers grace the hills and hollows of the valley. Look for surprises in this valley such as the spring and fall migrations of golden eagles overhead. You can fish for trout and whitefish in the Bow River, picnic at one of the scenic day use areas, or enjoy the area’s many hiking trails.
